Q: I really enjoyed the gluten-free recipe story you ran a few weeks ago, and further to that I was hoping Sue Shepherd could point me in the right direction of a few gluten-free baking alternatives. I’ve tried almond meal and rice flour, but I’m finding that my baking seldom comes out as perfect and light as it used to with regular flour. Should I be doing something different?

Q: I’ve heard that eating wholegrain bread is healthier, as it contains nutrients not available in processed flour, and that the whole grains are good for giving your digestive tract a good cleanout. Is this true? I’d just like to check it with you before I spend extra money on gourmet loaves.

Q: THANKS for the interesting articles on underactive thyroid and Blackmores natural thyroid booster recently. I am interested in knowing what they advise people with overactive thyroid conditions who are also permanently tired, and struggling to lead normal lives, too. I am under specialist care for this but think this topic may be of interest to some of your readers especially if there are some safe natural products we can include in our daily care.

Q: I’VE HEARD people talk about Vitamin D deficiency. Should I be worried about this and how is vitamin D beneficial? I am worried about spending too much time in the sun as I have had some skin cancers removed.
