BLOOD-red sports cars, hair-plugs, empty-nest syndrome: we are all familiar with the cliches that tend to accompany a mid-life crisis. But while we tend to associate the crisis as being around the age of 45, for some it's hitting at retirement.
For some a mid-life crisis can be motivational a desire to try something new such, embrace a hobby...

MY DAD was a really keen photographer.
His old Zeiss Ikon folding camera sits on the filing cabinet in my office. It’s a beautiful example of fine 1950s German engineering and it’s my guess it would still take a darn good photograph today.

I PURCHASED a robust dual axle trailer at a clearance sale a couple of years ago. It was my intention to get somebody with greater skills than me to knock up a crate, add a rear ramp and turn it into a stock carrier.

MY WIFE advised me a while ago that any Dexter calves born one particular calendar year would need a moniker starting with the letter D.
I’m not sure why. I think it’s an easy way to identify the bovine’s year of birth.
